NAMMA METRO

I wonder who has done the METRO planning for our city - Bangalore

Who decided that NAMMA METRO should run through the otherwise very green Jayanagar, already filled up Ulsoor, calm Indiranagar, busy Old Madras Road and the niche West of Chord Road. The whole place has been messed up with debris and the construction seems never ending now.

Imagine if we had the NAMMA METRO around Bangalore. No doubt the distance for laying Rails would have been more but again, it could have been done quickly with less disturbance to everyone travelling through the city. It would not have affected the currently available traffic infrastructure like BMTC buses and Auto Rickshaws. We could simply have 30 stations around the city and buses moving out towards the exterior to reach the Rail and coming back to reach interior parts.

We could have saved so many trees, it will take at least a decade of care to have some trees back supporting us and Bangalore.
